Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with all our VPS servers and you can buy a VPS running it in less than 60 minutes. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, which means that you will be able to pick the one which you need when the software that you would like to run on the hosting server has specific system requirements in this regard. You may also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up without a Control Panel, in which case you will have full root access and you will be able to install anything using a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be set up on it, in which case you'll have a world wide web interface and all the necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, electronic mail server, etc. software is pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more limited, but this type of setup is more effective for users with less experience. We can also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis if you add our Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so during the VPS order process or at any later time through your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
If the applications that you need to run require Ubuntu as well as a lot of resources, you can choose our dedicated servers and add this Operating System to your order with a single click. You are able to select between the 32-bit and the 64-bit edition of the OS, depending on which edition your apps need in order to work properly and to get the most of your server hardware. As you'll have full root access, you'll have full control over the software environment on the machine and you will be able to install anything you would like. The Ubuntu-powered server does not contain a website hosting Control Panel, which means that you can manage your content using a Secure Shell console, but if you want, you can install a third-party Control Panel and use a graphical interface to take care of your web sites. If you don't want to lose time taking care of your web hosting server, you can take full advantage of the Managed Services package, that features lots of tasks performed by our system administrators on your behalf. The upgrade includes routine updates of your Ubuntu Operating System as well.
